This ensures that water does not drip on your floor.  The other types of air-conditioning unit are the air to air type where the water evaporates and the same is disposed off through the hose.   The Air to Air type has ducts and most of them are single ducts which help in collecting the air out.   The modern units operate on the principle of 1:3 ratios.  For producing a 3KW cooling effect, an electricity of 1 KW is utilized.   In comparison to this, the dual duct basically draws air from the outside and then it is cooled.  The unit works more efficiently.

These portable air conditioners are also cheaper and it is wise decision as it is very effective in keeping the room cooler even in hot summers.  It is the ideal way of fighting the heat of the severe summer.
